3 brand new cabins on a pond. Each 2 bedroom cabin offers a fully equipped Kitchen, full bath (bring your own towels) and cable TV. Outside is a fire ring & picnic table for bonfires and BBQs

Where once stood the old Jackman Lumber Company Mill, one of the largest in the state of Maine, now stands Moose River Campground at the dam and old mill site on Heald Stream.

Moose River Campground is situated near Big Wood Pond and Attean Lake, 1/2 mile from the Moose River, and adjoins hundreds of miles of wilderness trails open for all camping vehicles and mountain bikes. Woodland streams and the Campground's three ponds offer fishing, swimming and canoeing.

Hikers and Climbers can meet the challenge of neighboring Bald Mountain and Sally Mountain, while fishing enthusiasts can spend days exploring nearby waterways, and evenings fishing our stocked pond.
