:: Family Adventure ::
 Finding an adventure vacation for all members of the family can be challenging. Not only do you have to find activities which are friendly to diverse age groups, but usually have to stay under a tight budget constraint. Most families would like to have vacation experiences outside of the Epcot Center. Here at Windfall Outdoor Center, we have a strong desire to serve families with our diverse and economical vacation choices. We offer activites that appeal to varied age groups and will do our best to ensure you have a pleasant family vacation.
Lower Kennebec Rafting - The Kennebec Gorge is unique in that it offers two different stretches of white water; the upper and the lower. The upper stretch is where the majority of the bigger class rapids are, while the lower offers a more relaxed and serene float with milder rapids. Our Kennebec river trip normally runs on both stretches. However, it's logistically possible for the younger children to be brought down to the river at the halfway point between the two stretches.
This scenario is perfect for diverse families. Our minimum age for the upper Kennebec stretch is 10 years. On the lower stretch, we can take children as young as 8 (maybe even a mature 7 who loves to swim). The adults and older children can start the trip at the top of the upper gorge, while the younger children are shuttled to the halfway point on our bus. When the trip arrives at the halfway point between the stretches, our staff will bring your child down to the river to meet up with you. From there, everyone enjoys the remainder of the rafting trip together, including the riverside lunch.
Rock Climbing, Hiking and Inflatable Kayaking - We also offer several other trip types that are perfect for the younger members of your family. Our rock climbing trip is perfect for kids of age 8 and up. One of our Inflatable Kayaking trips (East Outlet of the Kennebec) is also perfect for children 11 and up. And, day hiking into Moxie Falls (the biggest in the New England area) is ideal for all age groups.
Be Sure to Ask - We have several ideas of how to make your family vacation appealing to all age groups, just give us a call and let us know your situation. Don't forget, booking multiple back to back adventures will qualify for our double dip discount. This is a sure way to keep your family both active within a reasonable budget.

:: Small Group Reunion ::
 If you have a group of friends, this Small Group Reunion profile will be perfect for you. All of our adventure activities are perfect for groups and we can even help you coordinate special dinners, campfire activities, or make any other special arrangments for your group. Just let us know.
Large Groups of 10 - If you have a group of 11, we'll give a $10 discount on any of our activities to 10 people and the 11th person rafts for free! This discount is only available for the group coordinator who gathers all of the money from the group and makes one payment to us. We can give you this great discount because you will be helping offload some of the work on our end.
Accommodations Make It - Doing an activity with your group is one thing, but the best group experience will always be when you return back to your cabin or choice of accommodation. It's here where you'll be able to spend time with your friends and recap on all the exciting things your group just participated in that day. Many of our accommodations are ideal for groups, because they share common property. Some of the favorite nighttime group activities include campfires, barbeques, volleyball or hanging out in the hot tubs.

:: Youth Group ::
Windfall Outdoor Center has its roots in serving Youth Groups. We have several different programs available for youth groups of all sizes, whether large or small. Any of our activities are available to youth groups, usually at a significant discount. Just be sure to ask when you call us for more information.
A typical youth group adventure with Windfall would include the following activities:
- Whitewater Rafting on the Kennebec - Our staple activity, the Kennebec gorge is a great opportunity to challenge your youth. Kids over 11 can raft the full gorge, upper and lower stretch. While children between 8-11 can raft on the lower stretch.
- Inflatable Kayaking - Inflatlable kayaking is so popular, we have four trips to choose from. Depending on the ages of yoru group's members, we can match you up to the trip that best suits yoru group.
- Rock Climbing - Our second favorite youth group activity. Our rock climb offers climbs for all age groups. Our knowledgeable staff will help teach your youth climbing safety and technique. We also provide all the equipment you'll need for the climb, including lunch.
- Not seeing what you like, then please ask. We routinely set up custom trips for youth with various types of adventure activities. Just ask when you call and give us information on exactly what you're looking for. We're sure we will be able to accommodate your group.
